Q: What do you do in the Guild Wars community and where can everyone find you?
A: I mostly make GW2 videos over on my Youtube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/channel/mmoinksI have also been streaming a lot of GW2 as well as some other RPG games on my Twitch Channel. Twitch.tv/mmoinks
Q: Did you hear of/play GW1 and what was your experiences/ your impressions? What is your earliest memory if so?
A: I did play GW1 a little, my wife was the bigger GW1 player but I dove into it more before GW2 was launched. My wife brought GW1 home by chance, she was working for a Canadian retailer at the time and was able to get the Nightfall collections edition on the cheap. I remember watching her play quite frequently.

Q: Did you/are you playing other MMO's? What attracted you to them?
A: I have played a good deal of MMO over the years. WOW was the first I really got into. But I remember grabbing an Everquest box and giving it a look over until I seen there was a monthly sub. This was a concept at the time that I thought was silly, who would ever pay a monthly fee to play a game. At that time you simply bought the game and played it as much as you wanted. My attraction to MMOs has a lot to do with character progression, making that character more and more powerful, and then accomplishing difficult feats with them. Community came much later but is problem one of the most important staples in MMOs now.
Q: When did you start playing GW2 and what got you involved in the game itself?
A: I started before launch, was involved in early betas of the game. I was looking for a game to play after SWTOR. Seen some trailers and info coming out about guildwars2 and loved everything I was seeing. This is more or less when I found wooden potatoes. His GW1 videos and GW2 helped me to fall in love with Tyria, with the lore, with the game.
Q: What have you enjoyed about GW2 and what has kept you playing?
A: There is so much that I love and enjoy about GW2, community keeps me playing during these down times, but also the direction the game is heading. I am very much looking forward to the future.
Q: What has been your favourite memory of GW2?
A: Man I dunno. The day1 defeat of Teq, I was there for that and it was an amazing experience. And also the NA 1st kill of Triple Trouble. I put in many many hours, long stretches of time and to get that kill was amazing. Other than gameplay, it's the friends I've made. I could talk on and on about all the people I've met because of GW2.
Q: What class do you main/ What is your least liked class and why?
A: Currently I play a Ranger but it used to be Guardian. I just enjoy those two the most and generally like pet classes despite pets never being that awesome. Least fav is probably Thief, and simply because I am not very good at it.
Q: What is your preferred game mode/Have you been drawn to any other modes?
A: I play mostly PVE, but I spent a ton of time in WVW. More recently, within the last year or so I've been spending a good deal of time in sPVP.
Q: What is your opinion on the lore of the game?
A: Love the lore, it's one of the things that keeps me hooked into the game, and one of the things that hooked me.
Q: How do you feel about the upcoming expansion HoT?
A: What is not to love, the game is getting some serious overhaul. I am very excited in the direction that HoT is going and what he future holds for the game itself.
Q: Is there a place, theme or person you would want new content to include?
A: So many I am sure. The floating castle is one I would love to know more about, to go there, to get more lore, etc.
Q: What do you speculate as the next possible race?
A: If we get another race I think Tengu might happen first, there was a lot of work done on them. At one point they were to be included in the races but were cut. However, I think we'll need to see us head after Primordus and I am not sure he is the next dragon after Mordremoth. I guess we'll see.
Q: How did you get started with the community, what inspired you to get involved?
A: I made some videos for Rift and Swtor, and I wanted to start with GW2 when it launched. I really wish I would have. But I didn't. I got caught up in real life stuff, and simply playing the game a lot. Me and Mattsta Ninja used to talk about the game a lot. And one day I said "we should do a podcast" and from there it went further, I wanted to share the world of Tyria and it's hidden places with players. Share opinions and if possible educate others on many different aspects of the game. I generally just wanted to share my love of video games in general but really GW2 with other people.
Q: Why do you think GW2 has such a great community around it?
A: That is a tough question to ask. I think there are just a lot of passionate people out there who love GW2, I think the game is designed in such a way that you are happy to see other people. There are competitive things to do but at least in pve there is so much that gives you incentive to help others, this I think foster positivity.
Q: What changes (if at all) have you seen in the community since you started playing GW2?
A: People in general are more positive and more helpful. There are swings in this of course, but it's far better now than about a year or so ago. Perhaps that is a false perspective but that is how I feel about it.
Q: Why did you choose your particular format [Youtube/Twitch/Blogs ect]?
A: Well I started on Youtube because that was a format I was more comfortable with. I am not the best of writers, and I feel like I express myself and am able to better convey my thoughts in video format. Plus I like the make videos. I have been more recently been getting into Twitch, I feel like live interaction is very important, both for the watcher and the stream and I really enjoy it.
Q: How much does the audience and community influence your production/creations?
A: I try to listen to as many ideas as I can get, ask for feedback all the time. Try to make the best videos I can. I would say they are a major if not the most important influence there is.
Q: Do you have any advice for people wanting to follow in your footsteps?
A: Do it because you love it. Just start making videos, or writing, or streaming. Promote yourself as best you can. Sometimes you'll get flak for that and you don't want to overdo it, but you need to get your name out there.
Q: Do you play anything else which you make content for?
A: Right now I am doing a point and click adventure called Shadowgate, I like RPGs in general and so kind of focus on that.
Q: What type of games do you play for your own enjoyment?
A: RPGs and or mystery / adventure games.
Q: Apart from the immediate cast group, who else would you recommend?
A: There is a super long list. BogOtter, Wooden Potatoes, Matt Visual, Boottspurr, Mighty Teapot, Brazil, Killchain, Shinryu_ku and I am sure tons more I am not recalling from the top of my head. There are writers like MattstaNinja from Zam, TLCritic, Lady V, Lewis from Ten Ton Hammer, so many more. Streamers like Docgotgame, Skinryu_ku again, Rayana, Monkeyherb just tons that I enjoy and admire for many different reasons. Our content community is quite large, look around, find someone new and I think you'll be surprised.
Q: And finally, who is your favourite youtuber/streamer [non gw2]?
A: I don't watch a lot of non GW2 content if I am being honest. I guess Angry Joe or Boogie2988.Other Creators:
